Book early or buy last minute flights

If you know the date of your departure long enough book your flight as soon as possible. You can save more than you would expected. Don’t forget that early bird catches the worm! There is also the second way. When you book last minute flights they won´t be as expensive as usually. But as always there is a catch – you never know whether there is enough place for you and your friends and more over it is not usually possible to fly on dates you choose.

Travel in groups

Travelling in groups brings a lot of advantages. Not only you don’t have to travel alone you can also get a special group discount. Although you can save with group bookings there is a catch in this point – only several airlines offer this possibility of saving.

Travel on less loaded days

You might not say that the day of departure could do so much. If you don’t have to fly on certain days choose from Tuesday and Thursday flights. These two days are the least loaded and that’s why airlines reduces prices of flights.

Don’t choose the biggest and busiest airports

Flying into smaller or secondary airports has a great advantage – these airports have lower landing fees than busier airport nearby. Moreover, if you travel at night you can make the landing fees even lower.

Book return tickets

One way tickets are usually more expensive than booking of return tickets. This is caused by the certainty of airlines that the seats of their flights will be filled.

Join frequent flyer programs

Many airlines have their special loyalty program which offers a lot of discounts and benefits to regular passengers. In general, passengers pick points for miles they flew with airline and then get its reward either in form of some benefit or in form of discount for next flights.

Consider your baggage weight

Think about you baggage. Is it really necessary to carry some many things? If not please put out all of those unnecessary things. Why? Some airlines offers special senior discount booklets (e.g. there are 4 one way tickets in one booklet) and some offers e.g. 10% discount of your flight. But watch out! There is a catch (as always). There are not so many airlines offering student or senior discounts – moreover if you look for airfare deals you can find even cheaper tickets. So always try to find the best alternative.
